Their Story

Victor went to coCruz Familyllege to become a certified public accountant, believing that making money and using it for the kingdom was God's calling. God had different plans. In 1992, after 8 years of working at his father's firm, Victor decided to leave and look for a theological seminary. He found RTS and started seminary in the fall of 1994. He had just gotten married to his wife Teresa in March of the same year. After graduating from seminary in May 1997, Victor and Teresa went back to Mexico to start a church in Cuautla.  At that time, their daughter Fernanda was born, and their son Hugo was born a year Victor Cruz baptizing new members later.  By the end of their fourth year in Cuautla, they were able to start a new daughter church in another community, and the Presbytery decided to create a network of churches that committed all its resources to start new churches. From 2001 to 2007 they started 5 new church plants.  Three of the plants currently have their own property and are in the process of building their new facilities, and the other two churches meet in homes. There are also two new communities where they have started Bible studies and are in the process of building a core group to start new mission churches. Victor plans on furthering his education by going back to school to get his Doctor in Ministry.  After receiving his Doctor in Ministry, he is considering to move into Mexico City where he can start a church planting movement.
